Description IWC is using its in-house caliber 69000 movement for the first time in the popular TOP GUN Chronograph made of black ceramic. During highly demanding maneuvers involving supersonic aircraft like the F/A-18, pilots are exposed to high g-forces. The same applies to extended maneuvers on aircraft carriers, where both humans and materials are subjected to immense stress in the humid and salty sea air. The TOP GUN Chronograph has been developed using robust, corrosion-resistant materials such as ceramic and titanium, and it is designed for elite pilots of the U.S. Navy’s jet aircraft. For the first time, IWC has equipped its classic timepiece with a movement from the 69000 family, produced in-house. In addition to the chronograph function, the IWC 69380 caliber also features day and date displays. A small red seconds hand, positioned at 6 o’clock, adds a colorful accent to the black dial.
