1. Pond dipping in the two ponds in the garden.
2. Skimming competitions, river dipping and if you are brave enough, a quick dip!!

A short drive
Drive nine miles to Machynlleth.
1. Take the train south to Aberystwyth or north to Barmouth.
2. Take your bikes and cycle some of the cycle routes in and around Machynlleth.
3. Visit the ancient capital of Wales, especially on market day and browse in some of our individual shops.
4. Visit The Centre for Alternative Technology, Corris Mine Explorers or King Arthur’s Labyrinth.
5. Use the pool at the leisure centre or play a round of golf in Machynlleth.
A little further afield
1.Visit the RSPB reserve at Ynys Hir and the Dyfi Osprey Project
2. The market town of Dolgellau is only eleven miles away and from there you have access to Cader Idris.
3. The renowned centre for cycling is at Coed y Brenin just thirty minutes away.
4. Tal – y – Llyn railway is only a short drive from here and from there you can explore the beaches at Tywyn.
5. The pretty seaside town of Aberdyfi is just forty minutes away, the sand dunes are great fun and there are lovely walks above the coast. There is an excellent links golf course here too.
