The twin under sink system is the most popular system for filtering drinking water. It uses standard 10″ x 2.5″ size filter cartridges, which are a standard size that will always be available in the future. Using standardised filters also means you have a huge range of affordable filters to choose from. Twin systems are also excellent for water supplies that have sediment or where there is a high water usage as the filters are larger than most inline or screw in filters. As a guide it’s recommended to replace filters every 2000 litres or 6 to 12 months depending on your water quality. Twin Under Sink Filter Options The first stage filter is a 1025PS polyspun dirt & sediment filter (either 0.5 micron or 1 micron). Please choose your second stage filter from these filter options. Option 1: PB1-PFAS Ideal for town water. An ultra-fine 0.5 micron carbon block ideal for chemical reduction. Rated for PFAS reduction. Option 2: GTS1-10 For TANK and TOWN supplies. Ideal for holiday houses or properties where the water filter may not be used all the time. GTS1-10 Silver Impregnated 1 micron carbon filter will inhibit bacteria growth in the filter when not in use. A great all round filter with an excellent flow, ideal for low water pressure. (Most popular option on tank water or town supplies) Option 3: WC04 For TOWN WATER and reducing heavy metals. WC04 Multipure 0.4 micron carbon block filter for reducing chlorine. (Most popular option on town water) Option 4: AP1025KDF/GAC Ideal for both Town & Tank water. High capacity 10 micron combination filter of KDF55 media that removes high levels of chlorine at fast flow rates and inhibits bacteria growth in the filter, it also reduces Heavy Metals. Combined with Silver GAC carbon for reducing Chemicals, Bad Tastes and Odours, Dirt, Algae & Sediment. Option 5: Coldstream CTO Max Ideal for Tank water. For maximum protection on town or tank water from bacteria. Coldstream CTO Max ceramic filter 0.9 micron. These filters will reduce the flow and need to be taken out and cleaned with a scouring pad each time the flow rate drops.
