We hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and a good new year. Hopefully you have not been too adversely affected by the current bout of stormy weather. Here in Mid – Wales our coastline has taken a battering but we are hopeful that it will all be cleared up for the new season.
Prices for 2014
For the second year in a row we are not increasing our prices for eitherĀ Bed and Breakfast or The Cottage. There will be a slight increase on our evening meal and packed lunch prices, but we will still offer great value for money.
Fresh and Local
We continue to be committed to sourcing as much local food as possible and we are always on the look out for new Welsh products and producers. Sadly a mink got into our hen house in November and killed all our good laying hens. We have now (hopefully) mink proofed the hut and have acquired twelve new hens. By the spring they should all be laying well again, ready to serve our own eggs at breakfast.
Environment
The garden is constantly evolving and I hope to grow even more fruit and vegetables this year as well as ensuring that it is a haven for wildlife. The native hedge planted last year should attract more birds to the garden and we have recycled some old slate to increase one of our patio areas.
Special Offers
If you book accommodation and an evening meal before 14th April we will include a free bottle of wine with your dinner.
St Valentine’s day fall on a Friday this year so why not make a weekend of it and book either our Bed and Breakfast accommodation or a short break in our cottage. We will provide some delicious Welsh chocolates for you both to help you celebrate.
As one of us is Irish we can offer a special St Patrick’s night dinner, where a very Celtic feel to the meal will be provided at 2013 prices.
All the above offers are applicable when booked direct with the owner.
We hope you will consider visiting us this year in our beautiful part of Mid Wales.
