This self-contained 2-bedroom holiday cottage, attached to our house comprises on the ground floor – a comfortable sitting/dining area, bathroom, and fully fitted kitchen.Upstairs is a double bedroom and a second bedroom with twin beds. Due to the layout of The Old Coach House, it will be possible at times to offer two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Please enquire about this availability.
The cottage has a TV with FreeSat channels and a DVD player. There is a wide range of books in the cottage for you to spend some time reading and relaxing.
Bed linen and towels are provided. A washing machine and tumble dryer, located in an outhouse are available for guests with chemical-free laundry products provided. Bicycles, fishing gear and other outdoor activity equipment can be safely stored in our barn.
Guests are free to make use of our garden that overlooks the River Dyfi and is surrounded by hills and trees. There are a number of seating areas where guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Dyfi Valley. We grow a range of fruit and vegetables and have planted wildlife-friendly flowers and shrubs. Guests are welcome to pick fruit, vegetables and herbs as available.
We have tried to include everything you will need during your stay in the Cottage. We provide bathroom accessories, kitchen roll, cling film etc and tea towels. There is always FairTrade tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar in the cupboards. On your day of arrival, we leave fresh milk and home made cakes. For those opting to stay for a week, we include a ‘breakfast welcome pack’ for that first morning. Please see the booking form on our website for details. I often have home-made jam for sale and this can make a unique gift to take away with you. Evening meals can be provided in our dining room in the main house with prior notice. We have two ponds in the garden to support wildlife and have a large number of birds visiting the garden throughout the year. During the Christmas holiday period (2010) we were enthralled by the sight of a sparrow hawk perched for ten minutes on a branch in the garden. Fantastic!
The Old Coach House is a strictly non-smoking property and we regret that we are unable to accept pets.
