Nora the osprey comes back to us

Great news for all osprey fans (no..not the rugby team supporters). On Saturday, Nora the female osprey returned to the Dyfi Osprey Project and we now await the return of Monty her mate. Spring has sprung.

Spring has sprung.

Our ponds are teeming with wildlife, we’ve seen loads of newts in one of them and thousands of tadpoles in another. Very exciting!

New compost bins being made!

We are using Monty Don’s plans for compost bins, using stakes and corrugated sheeting. Hopefully we will have beautiful crumbly compost in a few weeks time and won’t have to buy so many bags of the stuff from garden centers.

We were delighted to retain our Gold Award from The Green Tourism Business Scheme in February following an assessment visit. We had improved in many areas, but were particularly pleased that we had installed twenty one PV panels last August.
